Frequently asked questions
Which tags work with Tagwise?
Tags that store NDEF data: NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 stickers, cards and key fobs, MIFARE Ultralight, and most ISO 15693 (NFC-V) labels. Bank cards, transit cards, passports and building access cards are protected and can't be read or written.
Which iPhones are supported?
iPhone 7 or later. Hold the top edge of the iPhone against the tag until you see the checkmark.
Does a Wi-Fi tag work on iPhone?
Android phones join the network when they tap a Wi-Fi tag. iPhone does not read Wi-Fi tags on its own yet; iPhone users can read the network name and password in Tagwise.
What does locking a tag do?
Locking makes a tag permanently read-only. Anyone can still read it, but nobody can change or erase it, including you. This cannot be undone.
What is free and what is Pro?
Reading tags, erasing tags and three writes are free. Pro unlocks unlimited writes, Wi-Fi, contact, location and message tags, copying tags, writing many tags in a row and locking tags.
How do I restore Pro?
Open Settings in Tagwise and tap Restore purchases, using the Apple Account that made the purchase. You can also tap Restore on the Pro screen.
How do I cancel the monthly plan?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Tagwise and tap Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends to avoid the next charge. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.
02 · Fixes
Troubleshooting
No tag found. Move the tag slowly along the top edge of the iPhone and keep it still. Thick cases and metal surfaces block NFC; try without the case, or use on-metal tags.
"Too much data". NTAG213 holds 137 bytes, NTAG215 holds 492 and NTAG216 holds 868. Shorten the content or use a bigger tag.
"This tag isn't NDEF formatted". The tag uses a protected or unsupported format. Use an NTAG or MIFARE Ultralight tag.
"This tag is locked". Locked tags can be read but not changed.

Privacy
Tagwise has no account. The contents of tags you read and write, and your history, stay on your iPhone. Pairmind receives limited pseudonymous analytics and purchase records as described in the Tagwise Privacy Policy.
